Jon Robin Baitz is an American playwright and actor who wrote the fourth season episode The Long Goodbye. He was asked to guest author the episode by Aaron Sorkin, and the episode took place largely outside of The White House and featured only three series regulars. Baitz went on to create the television program Brothers & Sisters (starring Rob Lowe).
