Goldsworthy started his National Hockey League career with the New York Rangers in 1929. He also played for the Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Black Hawks, Montreal Canadiens, Boston Bruins, and New York Americans. He retired from the NHL after the 1939 season. He won the Stanley Cup in 1934 with the Chicago Black Hawks. He played in 336 NHL games and scored 66 goals and 57 assists. Goldsworthy played with the senior Edmonton Vics in the 1943-44 Alberta Senior Playoffs.
