The Locomotive 293 derailment was a train accident that occurred on 16 April, 1917, near Finland Station, Petrograd, Russia. Most passengers miraculously survived, save a few scrapes and bruises, except Vladimir Lenin, who was mortally wounded. Lenin and several other passengers were thought to be involved with the revolutionary Bolshevik Party.
