Keapon says that Dinarzad was very, very Baad. Baad is a traditional practice in Afghanistan among Pashtun tribes in which a young girl is traded to settle a dispute for her older relatives. They may be used as a payment for a financial dispute, as a means to avoid longer lasting arguements and grudges.
