The Hekaran government was the government of the planet Hekaras II. In 2370, when the USS Enterprise-D was investigating the disappearance of the USS Fleming, William T. Riker contacted this government. He wanted to know if they had contact with the Fleming; however, they had not. They reported that in the last week before stardate 47310, the only ship which passed through their star system was a Ferengi trader. (TNG: "Force of Nature" )
