Elder Sanctum is a zone in Act III of Diablo III, a second tier of Ruins of Sescheron. It is accessible through a gate at the very end of the zone. It is what remains of the Sescheron's palace, infested with lost remnants of Baal's Army of Destruction. It is overall identical to the tier above, but smaller, has expanded bestiary and contains Immortal Throne as a seamless subzone in the northern part, and the vault of Kanai's Cube in the east. A Cursed Chest can appear in this zone as a bounty.
