Craiglinn is a small area of housing situated north-west of Craiglinn roundabout in Cumbernauld. The area is the focus for new housing in Cumbernauld with the Smithstone area basically just an enlargement of Craiglinn. The new housing will total almost 1,000 new homes by 2008. There is more land available for the area to subsequently expand.
