Final Fantasy XIII Ultimania Omega reveals that the Palamecia is in fact a fal'Cie made into an airship. Whether the same is true for Lindblum is unknown, but its shape does somewhat resemble the crest of LindzeiFile:Sanctum Insignia.png.
