The Ibanez JEM series is a series of electric guitar models manufactured by Hoshino Gakki and is the signature series of American guitarist Steve Vai. There are several sub models of the guitar series; JEM7, JEM77, JEM777, JEM555, JEM505, JEM333, and JEM70V. The design of the Ibanez JEM series was influenced by the superstrat style of guitar. This type of guitar is styled more aggresively. Perhaps the most instantly recognizable feature of the JEM models is the monkey grip on the upper body.
