The Sapphire of Purity is a magic item that deflagrated the conflict between Amontop, aka the Mummy Queen of Sandy Valley, and Julio Scoundrél. The gem is allegedly the only item capable of making the water source of Virginia's home village potable. It was stolen and kept by Amontop in order to encourage adventurers to face her in her pyramid.
