When his homeworld began to mysteriously erode, Gongora joined four other Immortals (Kaim, Seth, Ming, and Sarah) in travelling to a parallel world to investigate the cause. Using the Tower of Mirrors, the quintet came to the world of mortals and slowly integrated into their society, learning that the raw power of human emotion was reacting with the latent magic energy of the worlds, causing the Immortals' world to degrade.
