Like Nootka's other aliases, he created it by mixing and matching the first and last names of characters that appeared in a series of Durosian young-adult novels. During the last days of the trial of Tycho Celchu, Imperial Intelligence agent Kirtan Loor used the alias to make contact with Celchu's lawyer, Nawara Ven.
