Home video is a medium of film, usually referring to either a VHS tape, a Laserdisc, a Betamax, or such optical disc formats as either DVD, HD-DVD, Blu-ray or Blu-ray 3D (in which each format contains either a movie that was previously in theatres, a movie that was on TV before, episodes of a TV show program, or even a TV special). Some movies go straight to home video, and never in theatres or on TV.
