Tirain was a member of the Clergy of Artemicia who specialized in combat. He confronted Nesa Mikoto and Unithien Greyrain some time after the Battle of Vanna and was reluctant to fight them at first because he considered them weak, but he changed his mind when Nesa preemptively attacked him. The two had a fierce duel, but eventually Nesa emerged victorious and cut Tirain down while reclaiming his lost magic sword from him.
