The Emergency Wartime Government (Span: Gobierno de Emergencia para la Guerra) was an executive office that governed Argentina from November 1980, when the military ousted Isabel PerĂ³n in the Quiet Coup, until September of 1987 when they peacefully relinquished power to a temporary government as per agreements made in the mid-1980s. The purpose of the Emergency Government was to govern Argentina as a state at war, turning its economy to the full execution of war against Brazil, measures that neither allies Colombia or the United States ever took.
