The Dreamtime, or alternatively The Dreaming, is a recurring location in the TY series. Little is known about The Dreamtime, suffice to say that it is the home of a race called Bunyips. It is a mystical pre-world from which the Bunyips watch over Southern Rivers. The Dreamtime refers to the "animist framework" of Australian Aboriginal mythology.
