Amano developed a passion for music at the age of five, when she started to learn how to play the piano. While in school she joined various music clubs and was part of her junior high school chorus club as a soprano until eventually becoming more well known after joining the school theater group. During high school, Amano bought her first guitar, which she still uses to this day.
