�The snalligaster is a half reptile, half bird-like creatur. It was said to inhabit the Blue Ridge Mountains. Some believe it to be a prehistoric bird that can project fireballs from its mouth. The snalligaster goes as far back as the 1600's from german imagrants. they reported a monster thet would swoop down, and steal their kids. The snalligaster was also the inspiration for the jabberwock in " Through the looking glass.
