The national hockey team won the Gold at the last 2 Winter Olympics, 2010 and 2014. At the 2014 Games in Russia, they beat the US in the semi-finals. They then went on to beat Sweden 3-0 in the final. Goals from Sydney Crosby (P. Penguins), Dean Kunitz (also Penguins), and Jonathan Troews (also plays in the US, for the Chicago Blackhawks). The Canadian women won the gold medal, and beat the US in an overtime. According to CBC the defence was better than the offence.
