The RG721 features a basswood body, a Wizard Premium neck, a fixed bridge and dual Ibanez humbucking pickups. The model's most visible feature is its sonokeling top. This version was offered only in Japan, but a similar RG721RW is also introduced in Europe and North America, with a rosewood top (note that Ibanez uses the same image to illustrate both of these models, be it the sonokeling top or the rosewood one, which indicates that their appearance is quite similar). The RG721 was sold only in Japan and was discontinued after 2016.
