Teron Pol was selected by the Wild Star Confederacy to be its chief administrator of the famed Midpoint Station. He served the Confederacy, and their company, with dignity, until its demise at the hands of the Xen'Chi during their invasion of the galaxy. At that point, he assumed control over the station, declared its independence from the galaxy, and made it a a thriving locale for all manner of lifeforms. Maintaining its independence, Teron had to set up security forces, militia leftover from the Confederacy's military, including a small police force to guard the station from attacks. It would not have been enough to repel a full-scale assault on the station, he knew, but it would keep the peace.
