Rite of the Hero's Pyre: (Level 2) This Rite is mostly an anachronism, but is still used in a few remote locales, kept alive by the glory-minded Get and the mystically-minded Uktena. The body of a dead Garou is placed onto a easily-burned wooden structure, such as a pyre or a raft, and the hero's story is recited in epic form. When the story has been told, the pyre is lit by the Ritemaster, speeding the Hero on to the afterlife. Theurges tell that the Hero's glory is sure to be brought to life in the Battlefield realm if his most prized possession was destroyed with him. (Source: Unknown)
