Karros's lightsaber, as the name implies, was an ancient lightsaber belonging to the Pureblood Sith Lord Karros. Though he was far more adept at the use of the Force as a weapon, he nonetheless constructed and carried this lightsaber at all times. Because of the unpolished nature of the synthetic color crystal, the weapon produced an unstable blood-red blade when drawn, making the weapon appear more akin to a flaming sword than a polished lightsaber blade. For this reason, the lightsaber did have a tendency to short out at the most inconvenient times.
