Ken McEwen was an associate director and actor on the original Dark Shadows. He played the role of Larry Chase in 1006, 1009, 1010, 1011 and 1020. The character was created due to the departure of actor Don Briscoe. He was associate director on 593 episodes of the series from episode 551 through to episode 1179/1180. He also was the opening narrator in episode 1079 and 1082, despite not having an on-screen role.
