Hope Johnstone appeared in Coronation Street in three roles: * A Shoplifter in October 1976 * Mrs Nickleby, a neighbour of Victor Pendlebury's in Saddleworth during June 1983 * Janet Bamford, the secretary at the offices of the Weatherfield Recorder, who appeared on a recurring basis between October 1985 and March 1988. She also appeared in the 1975 adaptation of The Secret Garden, All Creatures Great and Small, The Cuckoo Waltz, Heartbeat, Brass, Last of the Summer Wine and two roles in The League of Gentlemen.
