Soul extractors were devices used by artists at some point around or after the 22nd century. Artists would use them to siphon off parts of their soul and insert them into the canvas of the painting, literally giving the painting more passion and soul. The devices were only ever meant to be used when necessary, and if used in large quantities would be dangerous. One example of this was when an artist became addicted to a soul extractor, using it so much that he created a living being within the canvas of the painting. (PROSE: Untitled)
