Captain Daik'oth was a Starfleet officer from the 24th century and the commanding officer of the USS Novgorod during the Dominion War. He served as second-in-command of the 523rd Tactical Wing during the first few months of the war. Following the death of the tactical wing's CO, Captain Jessica Murrow, when the USS Cibola was destroyed during a Jem'Hadar ambush at the Svandroth system. Daik'oth rallied the wing and destroyed the entire ambushing force. Ceasing the advantage he ordered the wing into the next system and was able to capture Taivok Nor.
