During their marriage in the 1980s, Minerva McGonagall and Elphinstone Urquart lived in a small cottage, which the latter purchased after he proposed to her in the summer of 1982. The cottage was located in Hogsmeade, from where Minerva could go to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry every day to teach. The couple lived here from 1982 to 1985. Minerva's nieces and nephews (children of her brothers Malcolm and Robert Jr.) were frequent visitors to their home. While she could not bear to live in the cottage, no mention is made as to whether Minerva ever sold the cottage or not.
