Mikael is the primary turned true secondary main antagonist of The Originals and a villain in the third season of The Vampire Diaries. He is the father of the Originals and the husband of Esther. He is the father of Elijah, Finn, Kol, Rebekah and Henrik Mikaelson, and the step-father of Niklaus Mikaelson. He is later the secondary antagonist of the second season of The Orignals. He was portrayed by Sebastian Roche.
