The USS Cait was a Federation Galaxy-class large exploration cruiser under construction for Starfleet in the early 25th century. The Cait was part of the twenty-third production series of Galaxy-class starships, the so-called Planet-class, and was named for the planet Cait, homeworld to the Caitians.
