Earth is the third planet within the Sol System, located in the Arakari Galaxy. Up until the 1960's, Earth was virtually identical to our own; the construction of the city of Rapture, however, set in motion a chain of events that, today, has left the Earth almost completely unrecognizable. What was once a diverse, fertile world is now a horrific, post-apoctalyptic nightmare. Earth has seen numerous alien invasions, global nuclear war, genocide at the hands of Machines, and a riftstorm. Still, its' many races have survived in one form or another, and many other exdtraterrestrials have come to call Earth home. The Jedi Order was also founded here, and persists to this day.
