Barbara Slate started her comics career in 1976, when she created the character Ms. Liz, who represented the liberated woman. 'Ms. Liz' was featured in Cosmopolitan Magazine as well as other women's magazines such as Working Woman, Self and New Woman. In 1985, Barbara Slate was employed by DC Comics, where she created Angel Love, a nine part maxi-series.
