The Law Enforcement Tools Provision was a section of the Galactic Loyalty Act that eliminated the need for quorums to pass anti-terrorist legislation. It also allowed Alliance security personnel to access any private information and data on an individual, including their own datapads or other private computers. It passed by five votes, itself due to the lessened quorum requirements caused by the withdrawal of the Bothan senators. Using the Law Enforcement Tools Provision, the Galactic Alliance Senate passed the Suspicious Silence Provision.
