Jay Henick was the constable of a small town in Southwest Texas. Eventually the small town just dried up and Henick became out of a job and a home all at once. He decided to join the Colonial Marines in 2171. At 29 years old, he was the oldest Marine to graduate that year and still finished near top of his class. He attended SOI West, earning the respect and commendations from the ITB instructors there. When it was time to re-enlist, Henick did so without hesitation. The USCM has become his new job, home and family.
