Because 2008 marked the 29th (Niku in Japanese) Anniversary of the manga's serialization, various plans such as Kinnikuman Day, a DVD Box Set of both TV anime and all 7 movies, and Kinnikuman Film Festival in Shinjuku have taken place, with more planned for later in the year.
