Dr. Eggman created this robot in 3237 "on the fly", his first mission was to assist Metal Sonic in defeating Sonic and Scourge the Hedgehog. For a time victory seemed within their grasp, but both Metal Scourge and Metal Sonic were destroyed when the Suppression Squad was called in by Scourge to assist in the battle. (StH: #191, #192) Parts from Metal Scourge (along with some from Metal Sonic and the Metal Sonic Troopers) were later salvaged and used to reconstruct Shard by Sir Charles Hedgehog. (StH: #238)
