A tropical fruit that looks like a round green avocado but reveals an yellowish orange starchy flesh when cut open. Lucuma can be dried and powdered for use as a flour in pastries and breads, or sliced, dried. It is a conical, Andean sub tropical fruit, very tasty, used severally as jams, juice, jelly, flavourings etc.,. Known before Incas.
