The Chaparral 2G was a car from the 1969 Hot Wheels Grand Prix series. Based on the United States automobile racing team Chaparral cars. The combination of the last names of the two founders resembled the Spanish word "Chaparral" (Roadrunner) so it was chosen. The Hot Wheels Chaparral 2G was produced in the USA and in Hong Kong.
