Jerry and Audrey Trent received an Emmy Award nomination for their work on The Next Generation episode "Genesis" which they shared with Mace Matiosian, Ruth Adelman, Miguel Rivera, Masanobu Tomita, Guy Tsujimoto, Jeff Gersh, and Gerry Sackman. Trent was also nominated for an Emmy for his contribution to the 2000 TV movie The Crossing. In addition, Trent received two Golden Reel Award nominations: In 2006 in the category Best Sound Editing in Feature Film – Sound Effects & Foley for his work on the crime thriller Sin City and in 2007 in the category Best Sound Editing in Special Venue for the documentary Roar: Lions of the Kalahari, shared with Miguel Rivera.
