The Philosopher's Stone (in Japanese: 賢者の石, Kenja no Ishi), also known by its other names such as "Red Stone" (in Japanese: レッドストーン, Reddosutōn) and "Fifth Element" (in Japanese: フィフス・エレメント, Fifusu Eremento), is an alchemical object of power used to transmute elements, sometimes with only a thought, and in some scenarios, to prolong life upon consumption. It is a recurring object in the Fullmetal Alchemist manga and media.
