The Jupiter was based on Design Omega, one of eight designs with the potential to become Starfleet's next carrier starship. Following its launch in the year 2410 following the end of the Iconian War, the Jupiter visited a class M planet in the galaxy. Early in 2411, the Jupiter was the lead ship in an Alpha Quadrant Alliance assault on a Tzenkethi protomatter production facility around a black hole. (STO - "Reckoning" mission: "Gravity Kills")
