The Skylord-class Fighter-Bomber is the first "home grown" Anari vessel. In order to stimulate the economy Prince vintari aproached Kuat Drive yards to set up several factories within the Commonwealth to build the needed parts and engines. Jointly designed by both of Kuati and Anari engineers the fighter went into production giving Anari Economy a needed boost. The fighter was intended for use as a light and fast bomber capable of long range operations. The vessel was hyperspace capable allowing for its long range capacity. The vessel was purchased by the Anari Commonwealth's Home Guard for use as a bomber in their fleets, and to fill ground support roles.
