Also known as large external transformation sensitive protein (LETS) Cancer cells contain less fibronectin, resulting in less binding and rounder cells. Does this lead to greater chance of metastasis? What causes the decreased synthesis? * perhaps in cancer cell regression fetal cells need to be more mobile due to embryological migrations and a looser mesenchyme state. Increase synthesis of LETS as a preventive treatment of metastasis in cancers that are prone.
