The Hobart Arena is a 3,782-seat multi-purpose arena in Troy, Ohio. It officially opened with 10 sold out performances of Holiday on Ice in September 1950. That first season, an independent (non-league) hockey team was formed called the Miami Valley Bruins. They played a number of exhibition games. At the end of the season the Bruins entered the 1950-51 United States National Senior Championship. Hobart Arena was the host to some semi-final and final games. It is home to the Miami Valley Silverbacks indoor football team and the Troy Bruins of the United Junior Hockey League.
