Scintle is a mage who lives in the Minefield Woods, North of Kentia East Gate, East of the Eastern Roads, South to Captured Bridge, and West to Kentia South Gate. The Minefield Woods themselves are filled with Shaper-made mines that will be deactivated, if you do his quest, Recover Shaper Book. Upon bringing him the book (which gives you some reputation with the Rebels), he disarms all of the mines, making passage safe and easy. It is also hinted that Litalia gave him the mines in the first place.
