Master of Science (or MS) was a degree awarded to cadets upon completion of their studies at Starfleet Academy. In 2357, William T. Riker was awarded a Master of Science. (TNG: "Conundrum" ) The words "MASTER OF SCIENCE" are seen on his graduation diploma in the remastered episode.
