Palak was an ancient weapon or relic called a "star blade" that was stored in the Kawatche Caves which gave Kryptonian-like abilities to its possessor, which would eventually corrupt them. It is also part of a prophecy saying that it will, or can, shine in the presence of Naman's archenemy. The legend of Naman tells that the original visitor left Palak in the wall of the Kawatche Caves for the Kawatche people to safeguard.
