Armor slugs are a common space-borne parasite. They are mineral-based and consume various types of metal, ore, and ambient energy. Certain starship components and hull types are prone to armor slug damage. Armor slugs are most commonly found feasting upon asteroids. Some specimens have measured up to three feet long.
