Mahra Sorbek was born on Coruscant to a captain in the Imperial Navy. She was raised like the son her father wished he had, and when she was age she applied to the Imperial Naval Academy. There, she graduated with honors, and was commissioned into service as a TIE Fighter pilot, one of the few females to do so. Her father showed little respect for her decisions, until after she had successfully climbed the ranks without aid. At this time, Mahra was presented with, and accepted, the rank of Captain. She continued to hold per position as the squadron's commanding officer.
