The 2nd Alternative World Water Forum, sponsored by "Don't Touch My Water Campaign" consisting of organisations such as the Association for Social Change and the Initiative to Keep Hasankeyf Alive, was held March 19 to 22, 2009 in Istanbul, Turkey. The 3rd Alternative World Water Forum, sponsored by farmers' and peasants' organizations, was held March 12 to 17, 2012 in Marseille, France.
